California Turkish American Chamber of Commerce hosted Mr. Veyis Toprak, Senior Project Manager and the Supervisor of the North America Desk at The Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry Investment Support and Promotion Agency (ISPAT).Mr.Toprak had a chance to attend meetings organized by CATA Chamber with prominent political and business leaders of California. He was accompanied by CATA Chamber President Dr.Remzi Oten and Vice President Mr. Bahtiyar Erdogan during the visits.

The first meeting was with Scott Baugh, the Chairman of the Orange County Republican Party and Former Speaker of the California State Assembly. The next meeting was with Celeste Signiori, Senior Vice President of Orange County Business Council and Wallace Wallrod, Vice President of Orange County Business Council. The last meeting was with top executives of the South Orange County Chambers of Commerce. Attendees were Vince Brantley CEO of the SOCC, Jim Leach Outgoing Chairman of SOCC and Vice President of Cox Communications, John Whitman, Incoming Chairman of SOCC and Vice President of Charles Abbott Associates and Martin Paine, 33rd District Director of California.

During the meetings, Mr.Veyis Toprak shared interesting facts and figures about the economic growth, the government incentives for the foreign investors and the success story Turkey has created during the last 10 years.He also reminded that ISPAT is directly linked to the Prime Minister's Office, and they are aggressively working on getting more FDI (Foreign Direct Investmens) to Turkey.

Turkey’s strong economic performance and regional influence attract US companies to the country, said Dr.Remzi Oten, during the visits. Sharing the vision of CATA Chamber on Turkish-US trade relations and future cooperation between the two countries, Oten said that Turkey’s “roaring” economy attracts US investors to the country.

During all the meetings, strategic partnership opportunities were shared to improve investment stock of US companies in Turkey. Also, Mr.Veyis Toprak attended a dinner with a group of Turkish businessmen in Los Angeles.
